Moravian Love Feast

I got an early start on my Christmas cards with this card. I used one of the new border dies from Spellbinders. The stamp is from Enchanted Cottage. I used a Martha Stewart punch and rhinestones. A SU stamp was used for the pine boughs - stamp with Bamboo green and embossed with clear embossing powder.

Winston-Salem Stamp Convention

This weekend I was able to attend the stamp convention in Winston-Salem. It was a great day getting to visit all the vendor booths and learn some new techniques. We made lots of purchases and I can hardly wait to play with all our new stuff.

The card today is one I had made several weeks ago when I was playing with tinfoil and dye inks. I also used the flower soft products to make the flowers. Paper is from CTMH, Martha Stewart punch along with rhinestones and prima flowers.

Sing to the Lord 2

Our Daily Bread Designs has the greatest stamps. This card is using the Sing to the Lord set. The bird is colored with Copic markers and cut out and pop dots used to create a 3-D effect. The base cardstock is from CTMH-Hollyhock.

Thought for the day. If you claim to be religious but don't control your tongue, you are fooling yourself, and your religion is worthless. James 1:26 Our words show what kind of person we really are. Simply trying to control your words isn't enough. First you need a change of heart; then good, kind, and healing words will follow.

Flourishes Daffodil

Flourishes has the most wonderful botanical stamps. I'm using their Daffodil set for this Tri-fold card. I also used their set called Timeless Quotes. Base cardstock is SU-Artichoke, background paper is from Basic Grey. Image is colored in with of course Copic markers. I love this quote about Faith and how it relates to my life. I seem to always want to know how something is going to turn out before I want to invest time and energy into doing it. When I set out to make a card I can't predict always how it will turn out. I start and then experiment with different ways and looks before I declare it finished. So I must walk with faith that the end product will be ok.
Have a blessed day!

Friendship is the Wine of Life

Hello again everyone, today's card is in celebration of all my friends past and present and future. I just looked through my high school classmates list on the website that is set up for us to log in and connect with each other. It's amazing to me that we have such technology that we can connect from all parts of the world.
On with today's card. I have this stamp from long time ago. This is a stamp by PSX circa 1999. Yes, I have a lot of older stamps and plan to start using them more frequently. Design was stamped in Bamboo Memento Ink, colored with copic markers. Used crystal effects over the grapes, glass, and bottle of wine. Added a border at the bottom with a Martha Stewart punch and added a bow made from ribbon I found at Hobby Lobby and have fallen in love with. The ribbon is a blend of 55% polyester and 45%Nylon. Makes great bows. Cardstock is of course my favorite color green from CTMH-topiary.
I have also got an opportunity to start placing cards in a local shop here in town. I have prepared 12 cards to sell. Keep your fingers crossed.

God Bless everyone and have a great day!!

Vines & Birds

Today's post is made using the Flourishes stamps set Birds and Vine and Timeless Quotes and Wordsworth Comfort Verse. I stamped the vines using Memento Bamboo ink and CTMH Hydrangea. I used Liquid Pearls on the Queen Ann's Lace. The cards below were made to send out to the sick people in our church.

My friend came by last week and asked for assistance and an idea to use for some cards she was making for a member of her church. I gave her some ideas and loaned her a few supplies and stamps to use. Below is her creation. The saying on the card is from the elderly church member who has been sending cards to her church members through out her life.

Col. 1:15-17 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation; because by Him everything was created, in heaven and on earth, the visible and the invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities - all things have been created through Him and for Him. He is before all things, and by Him all things hold together.

Several months ago I found a card on ODBD website and wanted to make one like it. I already had the On Eagles Wings stamp set and was waiting for the right opportunity to make the card. Last Friday a friend and I set out to create the card. Our's is very similar but we didn't have all the stamps that were originally used. I used a leaf from a SU celebration set to stamp on the scrapbook paper I used for the circles. Cut the circles with Nestabilities and then cut them in Half. We used CTMH - Honey ink and SU Pumpkin Pie ink to sponge in colors. The eagle was colored with Copic markers E31,E35, E37. I created a mask for this one and sponged the colors around the eagle. An alternate way would be to clear emboss over the eagle and then apply the sponged on colors.

Recently Flourishes had a new stamp set come out called Patriotism on Parade I thought the bunting from this set would look great with this Eagle. I used SU- Night of Navy base card stock and Real Red. Stamped the bunting on Classic Crest cardstock and used Copic B37 and R46 to color in the image. Added star brads to the corners. Red cardstock was put sthrough a cuttlebug folder for texture.

I really like the way this card turned out.

God Works For the Good

This card was made using the ODBD stamp set from Scriptures. I used CTMH tulip cardstock for the base and layered with Daisy D's Vintage Holiday paper. Used curved nestabilities and labels 4 dies from Spellbinders.

Thought for the day: Jesus said- "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the father except through me." John 14:6

Pitcher of Flowers

Todays post is a Stampin' Up retired set with a pitcher of flowers. I love this stamp and have used it many times. Thanks TD. Papers used were from the Coordinations line and also CTMH terra cotta. Used one of the label nestabilities and the flourish is from another of the Spellbinders sets.

Thought of the Day: God has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God's work from beginning to end. Ecclesiastes 3:11
